method to process bounce email..urgent

Hello

I want to bill a cust after i sent him the mail but if the mail bounces I should be able to detect its bounce.
I need to send some cust data in the email and set Return path back to me..

Can anyone gimme some good links to resources on how to catch bounce mails and take action such as updating the database.

Do i need to install some mail client on the server for this?
I am sending mails using Asp.Net c# and use MS OUtlook

please help

Support this. For instance there is the bounce you get a reply and the bounce that has no reply. You can't do this since the current email system doesn't enforce delivery rules.

You'll need to dismiss bounce as a criteria.

An email-provider for my work provides us with an xml-file with bounces, and at least one colleague has written such software in a previous job.

But why write this yourself if you can get software packages for this purpose. I googled for email bounces and found:

http://www.myzips.com/software/eMail-Bounce-Handler.phtml for $25 also (might be the same program, didn't look at it)

Worth a try, I think.
