Messengers voice delivery problem..........

Mar 21, 2004 2:40PM PST

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 P4 HT, 3.0 Ghz, 1024 Ram and Plextor DVD burner. I have been tried to correct the following situation: When I am in contact by any messenger service I can heard the voice of the other buddy (video is OK) but I cannot send my voice despite all indicators said is working fine (connection established). I am sure the micro isn't muted, I have been running all the audio video test hardware options as well all the audio/ video wizards. Recording option is OK. Also I disabled my PANDA firewire. Means, all appears working fine but my voice does not reach the other Buddy or family.
- Could somebody give me any idea?

Are you using a dialup connection? If so, have you checked to see if your modem will transmit voice?

Oscar, I had the same problem. The following link details steps I took that allowed voice. If you choose to try, the steps are well outlined but follow them precisely. I printed the pages before starting the procedure.

Although voice is now possible I still must disable ZoneAlarm firewall and rely on XP's Internet Connection Firewall (IFC). At least am able to have voice conversations. HTH... please post back if you find a better solution.

Happy
