Question

Messages appearing as file attachments

by GuyBarry / May 18, 2015 7:48 PM PDT

Windows Live Mail has suddenly started treating all my messages (both email and newsgroups) as file attachments rather than displaying them in the message pane. Why has this happened, and how do I get it back to normal?

First try WLM in a new Windows account. If it's OK there, it's some setting. If it's wrong there also it's the program itself.

The usual advice with insolviable WLM issues is to ditch it and start using Thunderbird. But we're not there yet.

I shut down Windows and restarted it and the problem went away. No idea what caused it but I hope it doesn't happen again too often.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
