I stand corrected.
It seems to be in only one thread that appears to be broken.
my read messages are not being marked as read.

It seems that if the 5224 workaround is used, then the threads break, and messages are not marked.
I use the MARK ALL AS READ once I'm sure I've read everything else, and the next time it stays marked.
Beware, that is for the whole forum and not a mark thread read feature.

I like the fix
They just locked the thread instead of actually fixing the problem. I also notice that one thread, this one:

Has way more posts and I am sure the 5224 work around was used, but it is not affected. I just wonder what the difference is? Wish the techs would find out why this is so, as before the "fix" we didn't have this problem. Seems like every time we have a new fix we have way more problems than before
