Deleted G.'s post by his request and deleted yours because the url was repeated in yours as a warning to others, but still could be considered as a URL.

I agree with you Toni. But the fact remains, it was already pointed out what could happen if typed in by a very easy mis-type. If that had never been mentioned it would have been a good link.

I had similar experience getting the suffix wrong - warn the kids! ....

I typed in a ref for CWShredder, without checking the exact URL address and got a site which, shall we say, was not advertising software. Clearly a way to get unsuspecting people onto their sites and goodness knows what they load back onto your machine if not suitably protected. Would stress that kids should be told to enter the correct URL - and depending on the parental angle - can be "to save time" or whatever.

Glad you pointed that one out: whilst 2 sites isn't a very good random sample number, it has brought this to light and confirmed a tactic to watch for, at least to me, though maybe this practice is already widely known?

Sure glad you fellows picked it up. I'm trying to get Josh or someone to delete it off the Forum. If the site is that close by .org and .com we don't want it.

It can be reached on "defendamerica" under transcrits bottom left corner. (the real Site}

Thank MO

Agreed ....

We have an expression "Whatever you do, don't think of a big white horse". The least that should be done is to get the URL off the forum before it is investigated unwisely.

My thanks again to Josh for posting it, but the principle alone might have been better. (Sorry Josh but that's how I feel).

Trying to get it off here MO using the offensive bar. Any ideas?
I really don't know where the site goes if typed in wrong since I have blocks on the PC and it would not load. If its that bad, it should go.

you posting that just a couple of days after the announcement that the site was changing hands....

New York, New York?February 10, 2004 ? Whitehouse.com, a leading adult content web site that has been visited by over 85 million people since its launch in 1997, announces the availability of its domain name for sale. Dan Parisi, the founder of Whitehouse.com originally created the site to be a place for uncensored discussion on governmental policies. The Internet has transformed the political fund-raising process with web sites raising millions of dollars for political campaigns.

Parisi, a first-amendment advocate, has been one of the Internet's most industrious pioneers in paving the free speech information highway. ?I believe people have the right to speak their mind on news and political issues, business and about public figures,? said Dan Parisi.
