It's about coverage and not about pure performance. If you can wire from your main router to WAPs then that's about the best setup there is.
Now about switching to the best spot. I think this is a very common complaint and it's about Ubitiqu or any router make or model but usually all about how we wish the OSes would switch but here's the deal. If you have WAPs a switch can upset a video feed, download or something else so most OSes will hang on for dear life to a working connection even if it slows and there's a faster connection. I'm going to write that THIS IS NOT A BUG.
At home I have 2 2.4GHz spots and 2 5GHz spots. Coverage is great for over 3K square feet.
Hi All,
I now have 2x Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC in my home but most of the time my WiFi will not change to te best signal.
Therefore I would like to buy a "Mesh" router and for 2 places I have a internet cable and for the 3th spot not but would be easy to make.
When cabled would it also work ?
There are so many articles about, Velop, Orbi en Google but they all tell another story. Are there any users here that have one of these systems for a while now.
Google is the best price but they say its slow, but ho about when I already have 1 cable on all 3 spots?
Thank's
Erik
