Merge Network Location

by 808IUFan / October 9, 2007 2:53 AM PDT

I am using Vista home premium and a Belkin N1 router and Belkin Express card. In the network and sharing center I have 2 ways to connect to the internet, directly to the router and of course by wireless. If you click customize in the Network and Sharing Center, you have the option to merge locations. What I am looking for is a way to connect to both at the same time. Windows only uses one way, one or the other. Whichever order I choose, that one connects first. If I merge them, will I be connected and using both?

Solution!

I found the solution myself on other forums:

The solution: click on customize in "network and sharing center",
while the "customize network settings" dialog is on disable the LAN
connections involved in merged network location and then delete the
network location to start from scratch.

It won't let me delete the merged connections. It will let me disable them. If I disable one of them, they both disappear. I then can click on repair and it will let me reset network connection and everything is fine. But if I shut down my pc, as soon as I restart I get the same thing, two merged connections and I cannot connect to the internet. Any help would be appreciated.
