Memory Upgrading Help

Nov 12, 2005 4:47AM PST

Hi just recently purchased a Gateway MX6027, REALLY REALLY LOVE this computer for the price! Only thing is the small amount of memory it's the bare minimum for running XP I understand. I want to upgrade by adding an additional 512, there are so many brands and I don't want any compatibility problems, got a great price from Newegg for $45.00 including shipping the name of the module manufacturer is Buffalo anybody ever heard of this company?? Newegg has it listed as a major manufacturer, how about Micron Technologies? I've heard of that one I believe. Just don't want to get stuck with some Chinese junk in my new notebook. I one a long time back got some defective memory and it fried my machine certainly don't want that to happen again, and yes I was grounded when it occurred it tuned out to be the memory itself and it took forever to get the place I bought it from to repair the machine. Thanks Guys!!!
