Any memory test failure is a bad thing. We never have to know any more than that.
Use the stick of ram that works.
Reseeding is something I do with my lawn every few years. But you are writing about a PC.
Let's go with this. Put in the 1GB ram and if it works, use the machine.
Bob
Running Win XP SP1 and was getting BSOD the most usual message
that popped up was DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Which I searched and it mentioned couple of things mainly referred to a
ram problem. I'm running to slots one with 256 and one with 1 gig of crucial.
I took out 1 gig and run computer for a while and it run fine. I put the other
ram back in and so far it has run fine also. I run the memtest 4 and got
some errors of which I have no idea what they mean. I was going to attach
a picture of results but see no way to add it to this post. Maybe it just needed to be reseeded. Any suggestions?
thanks
