better. They are certainly a lot cheaper. One 60 minutes miniDV tape can hold about 13.5 gigs of data. You'll need a big memory stick to do that, but you can quicky pop in another $6 tape, so the memory stick will get REAL expensive.
Yes, tapes can be uploaded to the computer. This is usually done with firewire.
can a memory stick be used to record video from a digital camcorder or is it better to use those small tapes? it would be good if i could upload video to my computer that i can burn to a dvd but would a stick make it more difficult
