Memory card info needed for Dell Axim X51v

by gmclean1 / April 2, 2006 11:59 AM PDT

I was wondering if you could use both a Compact Flash Card and SD Card at the same time with the Dell Axim X51v. Or can you only use one at a time. Also I wanted to know what type of SD card to buy for it. Does the tranfer rates mean anything?

If it has the slots. Yes.

You can use both. As to SD card speed my buddies have Axims and the high speed cards have no payback. Your choice to spend more for no boost. And a pre-emptive answer. The standard speed is fast enough to play video and music from.

You didn't tell the details. You may have some card over 1GB?

the cards are used by my digital Camera, and working OK . Should they work automatically and be able to

Nothing is automatic.

Not only must the card be in a supported size but in FAT format. As a test place it on a PC and format it in FAT16 if possible to put into the Axim. If it doesn't show up then it's possible the Axim has failed. The CF card slot is fairly rugged but the pins are not.

Also there are limitations to what files the Axim will show. Your camera might be shooting in RAW and I know that fails.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
