The camera has a buffer which it can use to help it shot to shot. Your old Olympus might've had to wait for each photo to be written before it took the next shot. The Extreme III shouldn't increase the speed.
I'm planning on purchasing a Canon PowerShot S5 IS. I wassn't sure if i should get the SanDisk 4GB Standard SDHC Card or SanDisk 4GB Extreme III SDHC Memory Card? The extreme is twice the price but it if it improves performance than it's worth the money.
I previously owned a Olympus. When i bought an additional memory card for that camera, I didn't realize that the card was different from the one i had. It took forever from shot to shot.
Any insight on the difference between the regular SanDisk and the extreme? Thank you in advance for your time and your help.
