Memory Card

Feb 25, 2005 5:38AM PST

I have the Kodak EasyShare DX7440.
I can not get the memory card to read? I have it in the camera, and on the camers it is set to Auto--the camera uses the card if one is in the camera.
When I put the card into the computer slot for this card nothing happens. Do I need to do something else to get it to read?

Thanks

Yes, you must start up the software that transfers the

photos from the card to your computer. If you have a PC, it could be as simple as Windows Explorer, or you may have a program in the start menu that does this.

Personally, I use the cable that connects the camera to the computer rather than a card reader.

Memory Card
Feb 25, 2005 6:37AM PST

I looked at a Compaq computer with Windows XP and a factory installed card reader.

When I insert a memory card into the proper slot, A window opens immediately. It asks "What do you want Windows to do?". There are several options.

If you are not getting this window, check to see if the card reader is recognized:

Leave the card in the reader.

1. Click Start
2. Click My computer
3. A window opens which displays my Hard Disk Drives and Devices with Removable Storage.
4. Under Removable Storage I see:
Floppy Drive, CD-Rom, DVD reader,
and MMC/SD, CompactFlashI/II, SmartMedia,MS/MS Pro

Your card should show up in the MMC/SD drive.
Double Click that drive and you should get a window showing a folder.
Double click the folder and you may get another folder.
Double click that folder and you should see the photo files.

So.....That is what you should see.
What do you see?
