I popped a 30GB drive in it. Handy but with 2GB SD cards being so cheap I just carry 2 of those. I'm unsure if I'd bother with such today. Maybe just get the iPod.

The title sounds kind of confusing I'm sure. But I was wondering if this really exists yet. I was wondering are there any external cases either 2.5 or 3.5" that are more focused on the hard drive, but have a port or built in software that would make it so you could go stereo out to a home media system. Basically I'm looking for any mp3/mp4/or any other media player shell that can have any hard drive inserted into it. I'm sure companies are against this idea but it'd be great if you had 20 gb of songs you wanted to carry around in your pocket, but wanted to play the a system without using a computer as a go between. If there aren't any devices quite like this is there a go between that would not require a full computer, but just a small hardware device? I know there are media oriented ones for computers, to use as PVRs and the sort, but I'm looking for something a bit more broad I suppose you could say. Anyways, if it doesn't exist no biggy, but if there are any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks.
