Question

Media Storage

Hello.... I've got an issue with a 2TB Toshiba external hard drive. I have recently put all of my dvd's on to the hard drive (around 650 of them) and play them through my dvd system on my tv. However, I have noticed that not all the films appear on the hard drive when it's connected to the dvd player but when it's connected to my laptop, they are all there! Can any of you super expert people out there advise me please?

It sounds like you have multiple formats.

Some DVD players don't recognize all the file types that PCs do, so check that to see.

Good luck.

Answer
It Depends On The Format

Hi there.

It's possible that your DVD can't read all the video formats of the files on your external, while your PC can. You can look at the DVD manual and see what are the supported formats so you can avoid this happening in the future.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Cheers! Happy
