Media players that work with Ipod nano (other than Itunes)

What other media Players will sync with my Ipod Nano? I read a few places that say WMP11 wont sync with it. is thus true?

WMP does not work with iPod Nano

However, RealPlayer does. But, according to RealPlayer's instructions, you have to have iTunes installed and updated as well. So you still need to have iTunes. I have RealPlayer, but I don't have it configured to sync with my iPod. I also have WMP. I prefer iTunes.

iTunes has been giving me headaches beyond tolerable limit each time either after update or when I try to install some other media players...

And just to be more irritating...I bought a new laptop and installed iTunes later than other audio/video decoders. Guess what, now it gives me "has encountered problem and has to be closed" sign and refuses to work. Supposedly I need to uninstall all the other programs including QuickTime to make sure the priority of iTunes in reinstallation but I don't see myself making such effort - after all, I don't really appreciate such paranoia: if compatibility is not absolutely impossible, why on earth does it have to be so different?

btw, my friend just recommended me this freeware called mediamonkey. I just installed it and now it seems working to synchronize the tracks from my iPod to my new laptop... smoothly so far... I'll let you know how it goes.
