Just FYI. I found the Audigy was dodgey on Via boards and nothing Creative Labs did will ever fix that. If changing the motherboard fixed it, you wonder who/what/where/why/when that issue was to be pinned on.
Common fixes included the motherboard changeout, changing slots and flipping to a Turtle Beach card.
The SBLive has be out of production for close to two years now, so you are right to be touchy about such an issue. Wish I had a cure for you, but it's well written about. If you know where to look.
Best of luck,
Bob
PS. Ooops. Forgot the WMP volume increase problem. Try http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#dsound
Hi all,
Its very rare that i post in forums as i usually search until i find a similar problem but googling for ages and etc has not helped me find a solution (i dunno what im lookin for to be fair)
Basically here is my problem,
My speakers are crap just now as im waiting for my creative 5.1s to be replaced (creative seem to be giving me the support of a false leg made from a strand of hair. Has anyone else had prblems with support from them coz its taken me 4 months to get the wrong part sent to me never mind the rest of the problems like audigy drivers on xp etc!)
I might as well ask if anyone knows how to get 5.1 5300 inspire working without the volume control plugged in? Its probably worth
