Question

Media Player Suggestion

Jul 22, 2016 1:43AM PDT

Hi,

I have a hard disk of files - movies, musics, dramas and I would like to play it on my LG 60' 4K TV. I am looking for a media player that can help me to play my files (as much formats as possible) on my TV.

I would prefer a player than can long for a longer time and will not get over heated easily.

Thanks in advance.

I'm finding a PC a quite capable mediaplayer. And with a Chromecast you can use your TV as a monitor.

I'm using my 2009 Sony Vaio laptop.

It plays everything and I didn't have to buy a new media player.

Thanks for the suggestion R. Proffitt. Wouldn't it heat up easily if I were to watch movies for long hours? I have a Vizio laptop and it heated up when I have it on for 9 hours

Here, no.

You may not know this but laptops here get the canned air to the vents every 3 months. But as folk tend to forget you'll find me advising 1st of the month and if they forgot a month or two then no big deal.

My old 2009 Vaio ran over 24 hours running a display at a trade show. No big deal.
