Media Player 9 - Can't Copy to CD

by Beauty Personified / October 7, 2004 6:09 AM PDT

I've got Windows Media Player 9, and for some reason I can't copy any tracks onto CD anymore. I can copy tracks from CD onto my computer just fine, but not from my computer onto CD.

In the "Copy to CD or Device" window of WMP9, it says "Ready to copy" under the Status column on the left. But, when I hit the "Copy" button in the upper right, nothing happens.

Any help?
Thanks ahead!

WMP to make an audio CD? Never did that. Always seemed "broke".

Here's something I keep handy -> http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

The URL will work again later.

Same problem noted here, Beauty - a long time ago. That's why I use Musicmatch or Roxio to make my CD's...

Funny thing is, I have Roxio, but it's not installed on my machine. Nonetheless, I solved my problem with WMP9, and have copied two CDs since.

Just wondering, but does anyone here in the Windows forums ever have any advice aside from switching to non-Microsoft / Windows products. Wink
