Media Center Troubles!

I've been experiencing troubles with media center. Here's what happens i change the auto play options so that a auto play windows pops up asking me what to do, but instead Media Center opens it self up when I insert a dvd ignoring my auto play settings. And when i try to close media center it fills the screen with bluish and whitish stripes. Making me unplug my pc from the outlet. I think this started happning after i installed this update that I cant even delete.Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I've been thinking of deleting media center completely. Heres my pc info. Microsoft Windows xp media center edtion service pack 2. It's an a hp pc. I think it might be also something with my video card. nvidia Geforce 6200 le
