Media Center menu no longer has Live TV option

by salukibob / August 21, 2005 8:37 AM PDT

My Dell 8400 with Windows XP Media Edition no longer gives me the option of watching live TV. The main menu does not even have it listed as a choice. I've tried opening the program directly from the Windows remote but the system is unresponsive. I've re-run the setup but that did not work. The cable line going into the computer has a good signal. I'd certainly appreciate any help in fixing this since the Dell service keeps sending me to different departments and Microsoft tells me to contact the vendor.

Got to Set Programme Defaults in the Start Menu.

Expand the Custom option and ensure default media player has 'Enable Access to this programme' enabled for Media Centre TV and other option you are missing.

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
