Media Center Edition Video Errors

Can anybody help me with these 2 error messages I get when I try to watch Live TV in WinXP MCE 2005 update rollup 2 with Service Pack 2:

(1)VIDEO ERROR Files needed to display Video are not installed or not working correctly Please restart Media Center and or restart the Computer.

And

(2) ehshell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id = 0x2778(10104) Thread id = 0x277c(10108)

I have have been running MCE 2005 for almost a year now and have had no problems with Live TV. My DVD decoder is installed and working OK and my ATI Radeon Video Driver is up to date and working OK.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Hmm, I googled that and it seems to be a known issue.

Windows XP: Media Center Edition Video Errors

In reply to: Hmm, I googled that and it seems to be a known issue.

I googled it also with much the same in all results with the same workaround such as Run this Batch file:
regsvr32 /s atl.dll
%windir%\ehome\ehSched.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehSched.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehRecvr.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehRecvr.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehRec.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehRec.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehmsas.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehmsas.exe /service
However this does not seem to work for me. I cant seem to find any alternative fixes for my problem and I am truly puzzled as what to do.

Did you notice there was no cure?

Microsoft's writeup was just a tacit admission it's a bug.
