McAfee Systemguards shutdown

by TheChad5150 / November 25, 2008 10:42 AM PST

Recently my McAfee antivirus software continues to report that the systemgaurds have been shut down. I click fix the problem and then as soon as I open my internet explorer, the systemgaurds is shut down again. I have my system check for updates and scan daily and everything reports I am up to date with no viruses. Any help?
Thanks.

So if I read the other posy correctly, it is a compatibility problem and not a virus issue?

I read the thread you sent me. As it turned out it was a Java issue. I had an incompatability between McAfee/windows/and Java. I updated my Java and all seems well now. Thanks again.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
