Internet security involves more than anti-virus. So these are incomparable.

So you don't believe in installing an anti-virus software instead? Happy

That's a new question.

All the mods here seem to install an antivirus but your question was to compare different things.

Not comparable. However isn't the user more of a factor when it comes to virus issues?

That is, almost all the recent infections were installed by the computer owner.

Difference between McAfee Internet Security & Kaspersky A/V
by Carol~ Forum moderator / April 30, 2013 3:20 AM PDT

On the outside chance you weren't sure why the two can't be compared, see how Kaspersky compares their Anti-Virus 2013 with their Internet Security . Granted, it's not McAfee's "suite of products", but they include many of the same type features.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013

For the record, I use a FREE anti-virus, as opposed to a suite of products. There are many free products available to help keep you safe and secure. More importantly, as Bob alluded to, ultimately you are your computers first line of defense.

Best of luck..

Great feedback Carol. My reason for posting this thread is want to know which is wiser to install in your PC, the McAfee Internet Security or McAfee Internet Security Vs. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013. Yes you're right these two are hard to compare. There are also a lot of Free Anti virus products out there. For a while I was using Avast free anti-virus before I decided to install the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 to my PC. Now I'm contemplating if I should uninstall it and install the McAfee Internet Security instead.

Why not compare Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 with McAfee Total Protection or McAfee Internet Security and/or compare Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 with McAfee AntiVirusPlus. That would be fair comparisons.

Comparing a full protection package with a partial protection package isn't fair. Then the full package (albeit more expensive) always wins from the features-offered point of view.

I appreciate your opinion Kees. I'm not really an expert when it comes to this subject and it's good to hear other people's opinion about it.
