McAfee Anti-Spyware

Dec 10, 2005 12:20AM PST

I just bought a new laptop not too long ago and it came with a trial subscription to McAfee. The trial is about to run out and they offered me a 1 yr deal of 29 dollars to renew it. Is it worth it or should I let it run out and go after Adaware SE, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, or whatever else you might reccommend on here. Your guidance is appreciated.

just stay with the free ones that you already have but that is just my own personal opinion.

The combination of the free ones are good enough. I use Mccafee in one of my notebook backed up with the free ones and another notebook with Norton backed up with those free programs. I also use 2 other notebooks just with free antispyare programs and none of them have problems. So next time, I won't continue subscribing anymore.

I use exactly the combination you mentioned + Microsoft antispyware beta + Spywareguard + ccleaner.
