MBP 13 2.66 for video editing?

Feb 5, 2011 4:04AM PST

I am making the switch from PC to Mac. I need a laptop for basic editing with both audio & video. I am more concerned with video editing, as my work has tons of audio PC's decked out. I should preface I work in radio, so my audio edits are mainly :10-:60 pieces. And my videos are 1-5 minutes in length, mainly YouTube stuff, I'm not trying to make Avatar here! I'm going to buy a MBP with Final Cut Express (I work with Sony Vegas Video 9.0 now). So the question! Is a 13 inch MBP 2.66 strong enough for me? Should I upgrade the ram from 4G to 8G? Or should I be looking at a 15 inch? Thanks!

While I think desktops are proper for video work.

With laptops I have for years used an external monitor for production work.

Today I'd put some 1080p HDMI display for the final work.
