Could there be a forum status post on the CNET FORUM page?

Like right now it could advise users to

? You may need to check you postings for replies at the post thread level because we are having problems with the reply function of our user profile pages. You may have many comments to your post but it may not show up in your user profile home page. This problem will continue until we can get corrections made. We are sorry for the inconvenience.?

I have seen this done at Zone Alarms forum site. It?s a pain but maybe only needs to be done until things get worked out.

That would certainly help 'get the word out' to those who do not frequent this forum, letting them know that the problem is known and being addressed. I would add, though, that the ability to create such alerts should not be limited to the backend. As it stands only Lee would be able to 'activate' the alert, which would prevent notifications from being sent out most nights, weekends, and holidays, limiting the usefulness of the feature. Lesser issues could then be left to this forum.
