Can't find the rated cycles of the battery?
Apr 3, 2012 8:59AM PDT

Not in the specifications. In past models it was only 300 cycles or about 18 to 24 months if you use the battery a lot.

rated cycles of the battery

This is the only information I have on this.
Operating time varies depending on operating conditions and can be significantly reduced under certain power-intensive conditions.

Has Dell decided to not publish specifications anymore?
Apr 4, 2012 2:55AM PDT

I can't find the usual ratings such as battery cycles. I see MTBF and MTTR vanished years ago.

Since the battery is inside the machine, it would be nice to know the replacement cost now.

Dead link.

I think you answered my question by not answering.

That is, Dell appears to be dropping specifications because folk might hold them to it. Don't fret, Microsoft and others are doing the same.

Even the question of how much to replace the battery is one that you may want to avoid.

Hi Bob, thanks for the reply. I have referred your question to the gentleman who initially posted the blog on D2D. I have not received a response from him yet. It was not my intent to side step your question, more of an attempt to get a holding statement in place while I waited for additional information. We appreciate your comments and I'll try my best to provide an appropriate response. Thanks!Dell-Lorna M

Check your link. I click on it and it is dead.

The one with the PDF.

I wonder why the battery cycles are now missing in the specs today. We know it used to be about 300 cycles or about a year of use before and there is nothing found on the Dell site today.
