Matsui 120mr - Q.s ome MP3 and WMA just dont play

Hi

Most but not all of the tracks I have upload to the 120 play OK but some just wont - what should I be checking in the tag data etc to distinguish between thoses that play and those that dont. I am using http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ tag progamme to sort the files and name the Artists and Albums and on the whole it works OK.

Are the tracks 'protected'?

Hi John,

Just a quick thought, do the tracks that don't play carry protected status?

If they do, I think they will only play if you load the relevant DRM license onto the player.

Dear crossfell
No they are not - however I have now got them to play - I openned a new folder in Explorer as the first folder had about 60 tracks in it and have started to upload more songs to the second folder - and they play !?

I also delete the BOOTEX.LOG MUSIC.LIB. MUSIC.SEC SETTINGS.DAT files on the Matsui before disconnecting it from the PC with any new uploads (not sure if this has helped or its just a coincidence)

So far its now playing any MP3 and WMA files -

I also use http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ which I think is a neat little programme to name tracks Albums etc
