Massive Storage Need

Feb 9, 2005 7:18AM PST

I'm running Win XP and currently have .75 TB of HDD internally, however, due to massive amounts of video, I need more. There's no more room in the case for another internal hard drive. I've seen external HDD, the best priced being a LaCie 500GB USB/Firewire at just under $1 per GB. However, I don't love externals (except for back-up). Is there a relatively cheap way to set up a personal server? I hesitate to build a new computer, pay for a mobo, cpu, ram, and os, just to get more storage space... I'll probably be fine with 1TB more of space. Any ideas?
