Not sure if you tried plugging it into a different Hdmi connection (not number 2 as that is for a pc). You may have a bad Blu-ray player. If you just bought it recently you might take it back and exchange it for another one. Then if the flicker continues it is probably the TV. Good Luck.
Hello,
I've recently purchased a Samsung series 6 lcd tv (LA46A650A1F) and a Samsung blu ray player (BD-P1500).
Trouble is, there is a full screen flicker when trying to watch a blu ray disc over hdmi. It not an every-so-often flicker - the flicker is so bad you can't watch it. DVDs play perfectly, as do HD TV signals (which come over the air here in Australia). The problem only appears when I attempt to watch the blu ray, and it seems to be related to the video only. Sound is fine. If I power cycle both the TV and blu ray, then start the disc again, the video is fine for about 1 minute but then starts flickering again.
I've updated the firmware on both the TV and the blu ray player, but this doesn't help. I've also tried turning off the 100mhz motion plus, as suggested by some on various forums, but that didn't help either. I've even tried 2 different hdmi cables, as some others have suggested.
Does this mean the TV's motherboard is faulty, as some users have encountered, or is there some other solution?
