Contact Fujitsu-Siemens tech support if they have a Windows 7 compatible driver for you. If not, this laptop isn't fully supported under Windows 7, it seems. Back to XP then.

Hey, I too recently installed Win7 on my app. 6 year old laptop in the hope that it would run better than the XP home I had on it, and until now I have had little criticism but this problem drives me bunkers.
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro 2040 laptop computer and in the device manager I have a Mass controller device of unknonw origin.
I have so far identyfied it to be a "Texas Instruments PCI 7621 CardBus/IEEE1394/Smart Card/SD IO/UltraMedia Controller"
Now, I have tried to install the driver for it but it WILL NOT install no matter what I do.
I have installed XP, Vista and Win7 Drivers on it under the right compatability settings but to no avail. I have a feeling that the for some reason Win 7 won't agree to use this hardware.
Is there anything to do about this problem ??
Because of this I cannot use some of my USB-drives with my backup data on so this is a wery serious issue to me.
PLEASE HELP
