Mark all as read isn't working or that some posts don't mark as being read for you? I have found that how I exit a post makes a difference in whether or not it gets marked as read. I need to avoid hitting the back button. Sometimes even if I go from the post being viewed directly to the main forums menu, that post won't mark. I have my best luck by exiting the post to that forum's start page. Message marking doesn't seem to be broken for me now but it does have its quirks from time to time.

the bus I ride to work is shorter than the one you use, does not give you the right to make comments like that!

retired, I think.

Mark all as read has been an issue for years. If yuou don't complain about it. The engineers leave it alone and it works better.

When all post in a forum are read, mark all as read goes away. It also goes away if you click on it.

Sometimes, if there are no posts made and CNET has to backup the forum, there are a few post that still have colored dots. they are scattered. Mark all as read is NOT there. You can do 2 things. Click on each one and hopefully they will go away or you can leave them alone and the next time a few more posts appear, you can then click Mark all as read and everything is back to normal.

Hope I explained that well, now I'm tired.

i think part of the 'problem' is
Mar 7, 2008 12:27PM PST

it only appears on the main forum page, if you click on a thread it's not there (which is a pity, it would be convenient if you could mark a particular thread as read)
