"Mark All As Read" button

Dec 30, 2013 8:52AM PST

Am I the only one having a problem with accidentally clicking that when trying to use the side scroll bar? Not fun to have all the dots go clear in a forum. Is it used a lot, I mean other than accidental clicks on it?

Not a problem with me, but

doesn't this depend on factors such as monitor size, screen resolution, whether browser page is maximised or not, and other things?

My own forum pages show the scroll bar some distance away from that button and look like this image; http://oi44.tinypic.com/4kzknl.jpg

This is TinyPic.com an image hosting site I haven't used before. WOT likes it!

I hope they work

it is a real problem for you.

I would suggest the old CTRL and - option, (minus key on the number pad) to reduce the browser page display, but I am guessing you use the 800 x 600 resolution for a reason.

The problem is as monitors increased in size and OSes managed higher resolution options, and later the move from square screen to wide screen, web site designers had to move with the times and design web sites for the higher resolutions. Mine is 1366 x 768 widescreen.

I don't see any suggestions to offer you.

I'm not sure I understand your problem Digger, but I don't have a problem with Windows Vista, 7, or 8.1. It's been a while since I did it with XP, but I don't remember a problem there either.

Seems an odd resolution for a 17" but a workaround

I'll need to guess it's a CRT but if you make the mistake of clicking the "Mark All as Read" button, just hit the browser back button right away and all the dot colors return. They do on mine, anyway. Using FF 26.

I'll try that next time

It's an LCD monitor. I use that resolution because I like actually reading what's on the monitor and not leave a lot of empty white space on either side of the actual page.
