Since ARC is just 2 pins on the HDMI port what if you had a tech cut those 2 wires?
more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI notes pins 13, 14. Might need to cut 19.
However most Samsungs let us turn off ARC and CeC.
Hi, I understand Logitech has its own message board, but have a little better luck here getting answers. Anyway, a rep for Logitech created a macro for my Harmony 650 in order to circumvent the Samsung HDMI4 issue (the 650 doesn't recognize HDMI4, which is the ARC on Samsungs). Anyway, the solution (I believe) was to filter everything through HDMI3. But my question is: Do I actually need to hardwire HDMI3 for this to work. Right now, after the Logitech rep created a macro, any time I switch commands I get stuck on "screen mirroring." Am I missing something here?
