Map of Visitors to Web Site

Feb 6, 2007 1:32AM PST

My brother and I have been working on this service which we think is pretty cool. You can get a worldwide map showing where visitors to your web site come from just by placing a line of code in your layout or footer. For details see --

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Eric

Didn't work. I use Seamonkey (latest) and ABP

AdBlockPlus and the latest Seamonkey gave me a blank grey screen with some text top, bottom and on the right.

Odd post at that link.

It's not unlike those web masters that want Microsoft to fix IE to work with their sites.

Mozilla browsers such as Seamonkey are very standards compliant. I didn't put said site through www.w3c.org's code verifier but I can safely bet the site will fail some tests.

Good luck,

Bob

It works with Firefox 2.0
Feb 19, 2007 10:38PM PST

Well, we did make sure it works with Firefox 2.

The Virtual Earth maps uses Javascript, and Safari users have reported problems, Jon says because of an incomplete Javascript implementation in Safari, so that may be one browser we don't support, he is going to look into it.

However, because it does work with with Firefox, my guess would be that it maybe be an Ad Blocker Plus issue, maybe it sees the Javascript map and thinks it's a google ad or one of the huge floating ads.

Anyway, try it with ABP turned off and let me know if it works please.
