You think the beach should have been totally cleared? Have you ever seen any American beach totally cleared for someone who'd drowned, or going to hospital in ambulance? The odd thing here is the bodies lying there for awhile, not that life went on around them. What else other than what was done would have qualified as not being "indifferent"? There was initially a crowd around their bodies, indicating concern. It seems every attempt to save all 4 girls were taken. If there's a problem, it's the lack of adequate followup response by emergency services. I don't see that everyone else's day at the beach hinges on those 2 who drowned. Hailing from Florida, I've never seen a beach cleared for a drowning.
