Mandrake?

Mar 17, 2005 8:43AM PST

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the latest version of mandrake without having to pay for it... I hear mandrake has a comprehensive partition utility built in it...

Only thing is, my uncle uses this computer as well, and he is not too computer savvy. I know any idiot can use lindows from their tour, but is mandrake the same way?

Mandrake

Hi "immolatingN2dust",
It depends on where you live and on whether or not you have broadband. Here is Australia e.g. Tesla sell the 4 Mandrake 10.1 CD:s for an affordable $16 plus a nominal freight charge, i.e. I paid a total of A$20. If you have broadband you can of course download free of charge from several sites.
Mandrake 10.1 is excellent. Suggest you get a second HD and dual-boot.
Cheers

If you have a broadband connection, go to:

http:\\www.mandrakelinux.com

Download the ".iso" files and burn them.

* Just going to Mandrakesoft.com wont take you to the download site.
