Question

Managing Your Money + Timesheet Professional replacements?

Jan 17, 2014 9:40PM PST

My CADD tech support forced me from winXP to win8.1-64 so I now shop for a replacement for
Timesheet Professional 7 (Timeslips Corp)
that invoiced via Crystal Reports (Seagate) templates,
then I would have to duplicate this data in my checkbook
Managing Your Money 2.1 for Windows (Kiplinger, Andrew Tobias, H&R Block) http://www.andrewtobias.com/managing.html

What ONE win8.1 compatible software could replace these old programs that win8.1 HATES? so my business can keep on track?

http://www.microsystools.com/products/timesheets/ tells it runs in Windows 8. That's promising. Did you try? If it fails, contact them and ask for advice.

MYM is a very old program. It's bad business practice to rely on very old unsupported programs. Why not ask your accountant what he advices?
Of course, there's nothing wrong with Windows XP, even after April 8, 2014, if you don't connect it to Internet. So, on a not too old second-hand computer with XP, you could use the version you have now for years to come, if you prefer it. That's probably true for the timesheet software also.

It seems that now you use 3 programs: Timesheet Pro, Crystal Reports and MYM.

You're asking much if you want to replace them with ONE program . But I think Excel can do it. Excel really can do quite a lot.

For a long time, (off & on) the only ONE program that might serve is QuickBooks. I believe early on they had an integral timesheet program, got rid of it, now perhaps it has returned as a sync/link - not ideal but better than nothing?

Something integral & not hated by win8.1 is what I'm shopping for.
Comments off this target really are not helpful .....

Replicon

We usually use Replicon at my company to track how many hours are spent on each client/ project. Its timesheet web application if straight forward and easy to use as well. They also have a ios and android App, so if you forget to put in your time and are not near a computer, you can enter it from your mobile phone.
