A young New York man jumped to his death from the city's landmark Empire State Building after gaining access to an empty office on the 66th floor, police said Thursday.
The suicide took place shortly before 3:00pm (20h00 GMT) on Wednesday. The man was identified as Dovid Abramowitz, 21, of Manhattan.
A police spokesperson said Abramowitz did not work in the building and had initially purchased a ticket to the 102-story skyscraper's observation deck. It was not immediately clear how he managed to access the 66th floor.
"An employee in my office yelled out, 'Oh my God! A big black bird just went past the window'," David Burgos, 27, who works on the 60th floor told the New York Post.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
