General discussion

Making CDs and Moving Songs

Jun 22, 2010 4:38AM PDT

I have a couple of questions about iTunes.

1. Can I burn music purchased in the iTunes Store to a music CD, and if so, how?
2. Can I move music purchased in the iTunes Store from an old PC to a new one, and if so, how?

Thanks!

Yes, to both questions

1. Make a playlist containing the tracks you want to burn to CD. Hit the Burn button at the bottom right of the window.

2. Copy the tracks to a thumbdrive and then import them to the other machine, you may have to "authorize" that machine when prompted
OR
Use the CD you made in 1. (above) and import the CD into the new iTunes library. You will not need to authorize this time.
