Dusted it out with a compressed ait can?

Let me comment your post is too light on details. You noted the make/model, but for best effect supply a short detail and the age of the machine.

IF IT'S IN WARRANTY, use it.

Number of issues
Jun 20, 2005 4:05AM PDT

Chances are that one's out of warranty.. These can bluescreen from Bad RAM or even a failing hard drive. As well as worse issues with systemboard problems. Bobs right a little more info is needed but you can try booting into BIOS and see if it stays running for an indefinite ammount of time, Run Memtest86 for basic info and post your results..The fact its gradually gotton worse is a good indication of a RAM slot which is not uncommon on these models either. Try pulling one stick out at a time and running on one and see if it acts normally.

Well, I really don't know what info you want. It's almost a year and a half years old, and it happens usually when I connect the webcam. I have a warranty with Compusa but they usually put us through ALOT of trouble.

And, it only does it when I have the Webcam connected, it's a Logitech

New webcam?
Jun 23, 2005 12:21AM PDT

Bob means blow the dust from the radiator vents. Possibly overheat? Canned air from Radio shack.. If its only doing it with the webcam running I'd try another webcam.....

Don't get hungup on the webcam (part deux).

A webcam might be 20 bucks. Fixing the issue at some shop usually starts at 120 bucks (where I live.)

Do the math.
