What model Dell and are there really 2 physical hard drives?
Example: I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista. The single hard drive is partitioned into OS(C:)113GB free of 222GB, Recovery (D
1.24GB free of 10.6GB
(The above number represent a 250B hard drive that was installed by me).
1) When you re-install windows, it will erase all previous data, and return the computer back to the original state. (As in new, out of the box status0. You lose everything!!
2) Define memory error. Memory is physical modules installed in the computer. Memory is not the hard drive.
If your configuration is different, please list the drives, and which partitions are on each drive.
I have 2 hardrives on my dell with windows vista. I had to reinstall windows due to a memory error. When i did, i was on a different hard drive. I was on os, but now c. Os is intact and has all my documents, files and itunes. But i am on c and all the programs are not here. How do i switch the 2 hard drives so im back on os. Also os is 62 gigs while c is only 10. So no copy and paste
