Mail Security

Mar 3, 2011 5:11AM PST

Hi,

I own a macbook pro and I have the mail application running as my primary email application. I was wondering if any user's know if you can enable security on the mail application. What would be suitable is having it password prompt protected. You click on the icon on the dock and it asks for your password, would be suitable. I have checked the preferences and I see no options to do this or to secure your mail.

I don't likt the idea of someone snooping through your mail, simply at the click of a button. Does the new Lion software have any security options to protect the pricavy of your emails, or does my version, which is the step lower than the latest have any other security features that I am unware of. Would file vault be an option.

Cheers,

aidan

but, how about password protecting the screen saver.

That would prevent "someone" snooping through your mail.

How do these someones get access to your laptop?
