hey, i love your forums. that a very high standard considering i'm a hard-core Mac guy. BTW i signed up for the "loyal to cell phone" forum to keep me posted for replies. but hey i never expected to get 50+ or so.
i only wanted one that specially aimed at my thread. i hope you fix it. or at least keep a limit.
thanks

Tracked discussions?

Welcome to the forums extreme.

I'm not sure what you mean about fixing it. If you mean you have "Tracked" the particular discussion where you made a post then you will keep getting emails if and whenever anyone else posts in that particular discussion.

If you want to stop receiving emails, goto the "My tracked discussion" entry on the left, and remove the tick against the discussion you are tracking, then click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom. But then you will no longer receive any emails if anyone else replies to your own post.

I hope that helps.

But in bulk...

I believe he's referring to receiving numerous e-mails on a single thread. For instance, if you track a thread and it's then added to the weekly newsletter it may suddenly receive 50+ replies in under an hour, quite a large number to encounter when you first open your inbox in the morning. I know that's something Lee has considered before, but so far no limit has been imposed. By limit I mean some forums will only notify you of the first reply and then suspend future notifications until you visit the forums and review the existing replies.
