Here's the story: On my server, I have a Mail Merge document which is a 6.5" x 9.5" envelope. We use Mail Merge to import the names/addresses of people in our club. Formerly, we were using an HP LaserJet 2200 printer, and everything worked exactly as it was supposed to. Now, we?ve upgraded the printer to an HP CP4005 Color LaserJet, and even though none of the settings have changed in the Mail Merge document itself, when we use the CP4005 to print, both addresses on the envelope (return and addressee?s label) are printed approximately 1.5? to the right of where our settings are.
I?ve already spoken to HP customer support, where they had me change the settings on the document as well as on the printer. They also had me reset the printer to its factory settings; but nothing helped.
No matter what we change, the envelopes still print with the addresses skewed to the right. However, I?m still able to select the old HP 2200 printer, and the envelopes still print correctly.
HP support said that it might have something to do with the weight of the envelope's paper being too heavy for tray #1, but after trying varying weights of 6.5? x 9.5? measured paper, and switching from tray #1 to tray #2, the printed result was still skewed.
The question is, how can I change the settings on either the document or the printer so that what I see in Print Preview is actually what spits out of the printer? (WYSIWYG).
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
