mail issue

Hello all,

I have set the apple's mail program to get mails from my gmail account. So now whenever i compose and send a message through Mail, i am getting one copy of my own mail in the inbox. I went to preferences and 'unchecked' the 'automatically CC option. Still i am receiving the 'replies' in my inbox of Mail. When i tried to reply via Gmail..i dont receive 'replies'....and i checked Gmail settings..all was fine..they dont have many options for composing and sending mails. So i thought there might be someting in the Mail settings, probably.

Kindly let me know where i need to change some setting to set this right.

You have already checked the place that would have produced a copy of your outgoing mail.
Is the Gmail account the only email account within the Mail program?
If it is not, are you getting the same sort of problem with that account?
