Mail in Windows 8.1

The Mail in my Windows 8.1 keeps closing itself. No matter how many time I clicked it open, it closes itself. What is the problem? How to resolve the problem please? I got frustrated, help please.

I use Windows Live Mail. Thunderbird works too.

If you're using that Metro mode mail, you're likely to run into all kinds of objectionable things. I use WLM, but Thunderbird and Outlook work too. When I first got Windows 8, I tried a lot of the Metro mode apps, and quickly went back to desktop mode only. Metro mode is for masochists IMO.
