Magnetic device attached to PC case

Feb 14, 2004 8:37AM PST

Greeting to All
Have 4 machines in house with 3 adults, 2 are mine, 1 for my wife and 1 for my daughter. All machines have removable drives. The silly little keys for the drives keep walking away, so I purchased some magnetic hooks to put on each machine. My daughter ask if that would have any effect on the hard drives and I said no of course not. However, when that hook snapped on the metal case, I was no longer so sure about what effect it might have.
Anyone have any info in this regard? Thanks.
