Question

Magic Mouse Problem with Netflix - LG TVs

Oct 17, 2016 11:11PM PDT

Hey folks,

I've got an LG 49UH850T running webOS 3.0 and software v 04.30.06. For the past few days, the pointer of my magic mouse does not seem to be working within the Netflix app. I have to use the directional keys of the remote to navigate through the menus and the titles.

Of course, the pointer works flawlessly in all other apps and the TV menus. I'm guessing this is software related.

Anyone else facing the same issue? Any workarounds/ fixes? I've tried resetting the app an re-installing the app.

Thanks for sharing!

Same issue here

I don't have an answer for you, but I can report that I am experiencing exactly the same issue over the past couple of days with my 43UH750V, so rest assured it is not something with your setup. Presumably it must be something to do with software/firmware update going awry.

I too have tried everything include a full factory reset and this has not helped. I've logged a call with UK LG support and will let you know if I get anything useful back from them.

Contacted Netflix

Thanks for sharing! It's a relief to know it's not a localized issue and it's just an inconvenience.

I've contacted Netflix and they told me they've heard of it from others, too. No ETA, but I'm hoping they're working on a fix.

Sounds like we are waiting on Netflix to provide an app update then! The only suggestion LG had which I have not been able to try yet is to change the country service settings away from what you are using and then change them back.

Not sure how this will help, but might be worth a go as we seem to have tried everything else.

Let me know if you manage to try it and the results!

One step ahead of LG

Haha, done that - no luck.

Still impressed at the ingenuity of the company rather than the trite "turn off, keep off for 30 seconds, turn back on" replies most tech-companies offer these days. Happy

Let's wait for the software update from Netflix then.

Cheers!
